Ah, the stubbornness of youth. Gregory is indeed the noisiest and strongest boy around, and is quite proud of the fact. Perhaps too proud. His grandmother asks him to do one little thing for her, but before she can say what it is, Gregory is showing of his skills wrestling a bear and a mule, bringing both to Grandma. Finally she explains that what she wanted was for him to get eggs. But Gregory's extra loud voice just scares the chickens, and chaos ensues. Finally Grandma goes out there herself, and Gregory learns that a quite voice and gentle demeanor are what the chickens need to lay eggs. The menagerie of animals share the breakfast made with the eggs, and everyone is happy that Gregory has learned that being loud and strong aren't always the best attributes.
