These are based on “pie purse” patterns that have been around since the early 1800s. They’re numbered in order of difficulty, although none of them is really hard. One of the first bead crochet purses I ever made - I’ve done a whole bunch since! They don’t take much in materials or time and make awesome gifts for almost any occasion.

2 balls size 8 perle cotton
Size 9 (1.40mm) steel crochet hook
Small purse frame (about 2.5”, I used the very inexpensive one available everywhere)
Small scrap of material for lining (optional but suggested)
1 tube of size 11 seed beads (will make 2-3 purses depending on design)

10MB or less PDF available on Etsy once your payment clears - Just go to your account Purchases page and look for the download button.

This pattern is a complete restoration of a vintage pattern. The original pattern is in the public domain, but my rewrite and graphics have my own copyright. Fee free to make the items for sale, but I ask that the pattern itself be for your personal use only.
