Nice antique piece. From the marks I can tell you that it is made of sterling silver and was made in Birmingham, England in 1897, by Adie & Lovekin Ltd.. The brooch looks like it was originally a mourning brooch where you would have put in the loved ones hair-- a hair locket . The back of the brooch has an inset ring that you can take out and it probably had a piece of glass that was inserted into it for holding the hair in the locket. The C clasp has been replaced and there is a slight dent in the center front, but nothing major. Measures 1 5/8" x 1 1/4" and has a total weight of 5.65 grams. Beautiful antique piece.
