I have a great antique Handy Hannah Hair Dryer from the late 1940's to early 50's. Beautiful chrome body and it still works! It has an on/off switch and a hot/cold switch. There is also a sliding tab on the flat side that allowed the user to increase or decrease heat. The cream-colored cord is in excellent shape: clean, no cracking, very flexible. There is a light wooden handle which shows a little wear to it, and on the end of the handle is a 5 inch deep hole where the dryer could be placed on an adjustable stand. That freed up the user's hands for styling their hair. It also made a great way to store it, yet keep it "handy". The dryer is 7-1/4 inches by 9 inches, the cord is 5-1/2 feet long.

This Handy Hannah Hair Dryer was manufactured by Standard Products Corporation of Whitman, Mass. It has the UL (Underwriters Laboratories) symbol on it, showing it conformed to safety standards of its time.

I have plugged this hair dryer in and tested it. There is only one speed.....slow. It does generate some heat, but because it does not have the grounding plug I do not recommend actually using it. It is more of a display piece and would look fantastic in a vintage style bathroom or a hair salon.

Cost to ship and track is an estimate. Overage of $2.00 or more on this listing will be refunded via PayPal.
