Antique Leather Doctors Bag, Doctors Exam Tools, Medical Certificate

Antique black leather doctors bag comes with the original key, doctors tools and a 1930s medical certificate for the state of Texas. This antique bag was purchased from an estate in Louisiana and the doctor that owned it got his doctorate in 1907. The metal tag states Pat No 2293363, Emdee, by Schell. The doctor tools came with the bag and I purchased the medical certificate to help authenticate it. The bag is very unique as is opens flat with compartments on each side. One side has 3 divided spaces and the outside of the flat has a pouch for paperwork. The other side is an open space with a hard cover flat for closing. It also had the original key. Inside you will find 5 medical tools including a metal syringe, silver canister with tool and wood tongue depressors and 3 other exam tools. The bag is still in very good condition for its age (1920s). The inside would need some refurbishing if you would want to use it. I think some new vinyl lining would be fairly inexpensive. Once opened the rim has some chips in the leather right at the metal clasps. The lock works well and the double leather handles are in great condition. The outside of the bag does have some scratches and scuffs. This listing includes all pieces. It measures about 11.5 inches tall, 15 inches long and 6 inches wide.
