Fabulous Modernist sterling silver earrings C1950's made by Vermont silversmith Joseph Skinger. These screw back earrings are a 3/4" wide concave square with slightly rounded edges. They are marked Sterling Skinger.
They show slight scratches in keeping with their age, but they are unnoticeable whilst wearing. The squares sit on the diagonal when wearing.

Joseph A. Skinger was born in Worcester, MA on March 16, 1911 and died in 1967. A successful and well known designer and craftsman in hand wrought silver jewelry. His business "Silver by Skinger" was located in Stowe, Vermont.
