Fordite, What a great way to recycle and Wear a piece of American Automotive History!

This paint came from the General Motors' Pontiac Truck Assembly in Pontiac Michigan which closed in 2009...

- Love the colors and the texture in these Teardrop shaped stones
- The Earrings dangle from 25mm x 1.5mm Sterling Hoops
- The Pendent hangs from a Triple Sterling ring bail of my design & a 2.4mm Rolo 18” Sterling Chain
- holes are lined with Fine Silver tube to prevent wear.
- the Paint makes surprisingly very light weight “stones”

One of a Kind Jewelry made from Vintage Car Paint
Called by many names…
Detroit Agate, Fordite, Motor Agate, GM Agate and so on…
Not really stone at all, but layer after layer of over-sprayed paint,
From the late 1970s and before, automotive production lines.

I personally hand cut this wonderful, Industrial Byproduct. And with my site you get the piece that is in the photo...no waiting for another to be made. These stones are One of a Kind and I can't make the same one twice. :)
