Five lovely glass vials long forgotten in a retired entomology lab. An unusual feature is that these tubes have flat bottoms. That means they could stand all on their own.

As the clean up crew began to toss the left over items from the retiring scientist, I pulled a box containing these vials from the trash. I cannot imagine what sort of insect the scientist had planned to put in this vial, but I can imagine all the great uses it could have - rare spices, special beads, baby's teeth, shell fragments from spring's first robin?

I purchased new corks to go along with these vials, as its hard to tell if an old vintage cork is clean. These tubes appear to have never been used.

This collection:
3 vials 2 1/2 inches tall, 5/16 inches diameter,
2 vials: 1 9/16 inches tall, 3/8 inches diameter.

On the height - the corks add an additional 1/4 inch to each vial.

Give these lovely glass vials a home!
