Kaa is the heart of the Great Forest and mother to all the Shika race. As tall as the trees themselves, she causes the canopy to sway as she walks, announcing her arrival. Her antlers are made of coral and her back is dotted with a mossy reef, carrying the history of the woods which used to be the bed of an ocean. If you were to place your hand upon her low-hanging belly, you would feel the pulse of her heart, along with the pulse of her young, waiting to be born from the pods floating within...
