Item details

Vintage from the 1950s

Hans Olsen "Antilop" safari chair, midcentury, circa 1950s. With caramel suede seat and back rest and black leather arm straps. Dowel constructed solid oak frame provides sturdiness. Mid-20th century was indeed the glory time of the big game safari hunts. And this design and style of chair complemented those excursions. And maybe actually made it into the tent? Would surely have brought comfort to the field after a long day of beating the bush. That, and a very stiff martini. A rare find, indeed. Excellent vintage condition. Slight blemish on suede seat that can be reversed.
