Height: 2 Inches; Width: 2 Inches; Depth: 1.75 Inches

Edwina is a happy owl sculpture formed out of a small pinch pot using a smooth, white stoneware clay. A vintage button impression created her bright eyes and repeated impressions of the tip of a fettling knife created her chest "feathers". A small, hand formed ball of clay was attached to create her beak. After the first firing she was stained with a black underglaze. Three coats of a rainforest green high gloss glaze was brushed on the majority of her body and her beak was coated with bright papaya.

After a final glaze firing, a cluster of hand gathered mini guinea chicken feathers were affixed to the top of her head with E-6000 adhesive. I think she ended up looking like Martin Short's character, Ed Grimley, so I named her Edwina. She is a cute and funny little owlet that is sure to bring a smile to anyone's face.

Edwina measures 2 inches tall by 2 inches wide. She has a depth of 1.75 inches.
