Hundreds of references to correspondence related to the operation of railroads are logged into this 220-page journal. The correspondence on accidents, deaths, strikes, permits, expenses, violations, land leases, complaints, etc. are recorded by hand and include the reference number, name/location, and a subject matter description is alphabetized by the correspondent’s name or location. There are handwritten entries in ink within every lettered section of the 1890s log, however, some of the pages within those sections remain blank.

CONDITION: This journal is over 120 years old and shows its age in the faded and worn pages. Although the edges and spine of the black hardcover are also worn, the cover is still keeping the book pages together.
