Quite rare in the vintage world-- this Natural Bamboo Tote has a semicircular shape and integral top handles. The handles move, but the rest of the bag does not collapse-its very sturdy!

In the 1950's, there were quite a lot of "Basket bags", made of wicker, straw, bamboo or wood, or even woven plastic. This structurally fascinating bag is made of split square bamboo strips that are strung or sewn together for a unique "Birdcage" effect. They are separated by yellow plastic beads. My research has shown these bags are around $110 for those from the late 1940s and 1950s- Although this bag is in super great shape, I cannot be sure of the age of this one, so I'm offering it at $55...
