This is an amazing vintage authentic FRED HARVEY clutch. Maroon in color, with a beautiful little arrowhead shaped-closure. Wool, hand-woven in New Mexico.
Railroad-related item, made by Native Americans and sold in Fred Harvey hotels. This bag dates back to the 1940s.

"Inside is a label with the Fred Harvey name. Catering to his clientele, hotel founder-operator Fred Harvey offered top quality merchandise as souvenirs: these and other handbags, dolls, silver and turquoise jewelry and other gift type items. " (Thank you Ruby Lane Vintage for the excerpt).

Thanks to Cristina Ortega, for the information on this wonderful antique item:
"The textile is from a ChimayĆ³ blanket.
