The pin has a nice heft to it and feels good quality, and I like that it also has a loop at the top so it can be worn as a necklace pendant. The green enamel had run over a few of the silver veins of the leaf — something I'd been hoping to avoid by buying a higher quality pin rather than some of the cheaper models I've seen around the internet — but it's a very tiny flaw, only noticeable if you study the pin up close. The rest of the pin is nice and crisp, and my sister was delighted with the gift.
