Materials

handpainted yarn, superwash wool yarn, Czech glass buttons

Here's a cozy, pretty cardigan to update your SD Lillycat girl's wardrobe! The superwash wool yarn is hand-dyed by Lichen and Lace in shades of raspberry pink on a creamy white base, with hints of custard and soft gray. Raspberry Ripple's flirty ruffled cuffs and hem are a traditional lace pattern called Lucina Shell. The front closes with five tiny Czech-glass flower buttons; the buttons slip between the stitches of the front "buttonhole" band, so you can adjust the fit slightly and there are no permanent buttonholes to gape when your doll wears her cardigan open.

I adapted Raspberry RIpple from a pattern by biscuitbear in the old Den of Angels archives. While the sleeve and body length are sized for the larger Lillycat girls' long, slender arms and torsos, this boxy, hip-length shape may also fit other slim "SD" or 1/3-scale BJD girls such as Doll Chateau, Impldoll Model, Shinydoll, Feeple 60, and similar-sized dolls.

My model (not for sale) is Melantha, a caramel Lillycat Ellana on the original Lune body. She is wearing her own jeans and lace cami, also not for sale.

NOTE: This sweater is designed for adult collectors. It is not a children's play item. I strongly recommend covering your doll's hands with plastic wrap before dressing her in Raspberry Ripple or any knitted garment, to protect both her delicate fingers and the stitches from snagging and breaking.
