Vera Neumann is one of my all-time favorite designers. Her hand-painted scarves are instantly recognizable and forver memorable. This one especially...

Vera celebrated the American bi-centennial in 1976 with a line of red, white and blue designs. This bold, geometric, Optical Art pattern creates the look and feel or a city scape, perhaps Vera's former home of New York City.

All the gorgeous color was silk-screened by hand in Japan onto the finest silk. Hand-rolled hems in contrasting red silk further reveal the pride and love put into every Vera scarf!

Measures 25" square. No tag. Made with either Vera's pure silk or her famous blend of silk and rayon. Either way, the fabric is strong, smooth, breathable and has a fine, watery drape. Hand wash in cold. Hang dry with no overlap to prevent dye transfer.

Okay vintage condition... two areas of red dye transfer (common to Vera's red dyes from that era) and two 1/8" areas of thinning lower the price but not the beauty!
