Vintage from the 1930s

Mexican Arts and Crafts WPA era 11.5” scenic plaque. Strolling by donkey through the moonlit desert, Señor is serenading. On buff clay, signed San Jose Mission with a Maguey craftmark on the front. In excellent condition, with no cracks, chips or repairs. The rich brown surround glaze is enhanced by the bright Mission colors. Made and glazed by hand it shows slight imperfections as is common with a hand crafted piece. See photos.
