I bought these note cards while I was living in Japan for 3 years. They are all in excellent condition. Most have the original yen price sticker.

Clockwise from the top, the first 2 cards are of old ukiyo-e (woodblock print) images of sumo wrestlers (6 1/4 x 4 1/2" and 4 1/4 x 7"). I loved watching the sumo tournaments (bashos) whenever they were in Tokyo or on TV. This ancient sport is steeped in tradition and rituals and was utterly fascinating. Sumo wrestlers are more famous than movie stars in Japan.

The third (5x7") is a beautiful card with a real mini gold fan (detachable) showing an old ukiyo-e print of Japanese women, probably high-ranking, crossing a famous bridge. A very special card for a very special person.

The last two cards (4 3/4 x 7") show one of the iconic images of Japan, the beautiful cranes in winter. This would make a unique Christmas card as well as a note card for any reason.
