I'm dating to early 60s based on another dress from this same estate with identical labels. Custom made by a tailor/seamstress shop in Yokosuka, Japan (home of a US Naval base).

Superior quality heavy silk satin brocade in rich taupe / tan. Satin is heavy, ballet slipper satin with with a delicate pattern of pink butterflies (or Japanese moths?), wild iris and bamboo fronds... exotic & feminine. Lining is silky taupe with a subtle jacquard weave in Japanese motif.

Extra fine construction features Beesom fininshed buttonholes; fabric covered buttons; hidden lingerie strap holders in the shoulders (to keep bra straps from showing), and finished notches and seams everywhere you need them for a perfect fit.

Sleeveless shell is fitted and curvy while the suit jacket is boxy like those worn by Jackie Kennedy in the 60s.

LABEL: See photos - Betty Yokosuka Japan

MEASUREMENTS: of garment itself - taken on the inside whenever possible. Please compare to something that fits you & leave room for comfort.
