Pattern includes detailed instructions for piecing a lone star and turning it into a tree skirt. It also comes with a coloring page to plan your fabric placement in the star.
Tree skirt measures approximately 48 inches across when finished.
Fabric requirements:
7 different fabrics for the star, 1/3 yard of each (you will use less of most of them, depending on fabric placement)
2/3 yard background
2 yards backing
3/4 yard binding

This is a great pattern. I haven't made mine yet, but read through it and it looks like it will be easy even for beginners. Very good instructions.
