Tired of expensive porch and patio furniture that doesn't hold up? These amazingly beautiful DIY porch and patio table and chair set plans are the answer!
Not only are 2 x 4’s inexpensive and easy to work with, they are amazingly strong and durable. And their heavier weight makes them perfect to stand up to outdoor winds and storms.
This DIY 2 x 4 table and chair set can be built with ease in a single afternoon with these easy to follow, step by step plans that include complete material and tool lists to create both the table and chairs. And with the most basic set of tools! If you have a drill, square and a circular saw or jig saw - you can make this!
Each chair can be created and assembled with just (3) three 2 x 4 x 8’s. At $2.73 a piece here at my local lumber store, it cost us a whopping $8.19 per chair to build!
Better yet, they can be made with just twelve simple cuts and then screwed together for a strong, durable chair that holds up to the elements.
And the table - well no more flimsy patio furniture that can't hold up to wind and storms!
Using only (3) 2 x 4 x 8’s, and (6) 2 x 4 x 10’s – you can create a 60″ long x 36″ wide table that is both strong and elegant. It can easily have a hole drilled out to accommodate an umbrella - and can be built from standard lumber, treated lumber - or even cedar if you like.

Came out great, but the directions for the table were a bit wrong. It says to use 10 60" pieces for the top of the table but I could only fit 9, and even that was very tight and required putting in screws at an angle. I recommend making the end rails and middle support 4" wider if you want to fit all 10 top pieces. I'm happy with the size my table came out to though!
Built the table in 2 days. First time I used a drill and screws. Anyone can makeit.
Reasonably priced, great detail. Starting my project this weekend.
I can't wait to build these this summer. Excellent directions. Tells me everything I need to know to easily complete these!! Well worth the money!
