The story of my Tricked OutTea Towels:
While yard sale-ing last fall, I came across some unique retro dish towels that still had some life in them. I decided to update them so they could continue hanging out in the kitchen as they had for many years. I got the idea for making these from a similar towel my mom gave me. She used a new towel and pot holder to make hers but I liked the idea of repurposing old towels because I find the colors and patterns so interesting. Plus it kinda goes with my "old things made new" theme! I love that these hang on the oven door handle and are always accessible without falling on the floor. Think of them as dresses for your oven!
This aqua colored Sing a Song of Sixpence tea towel has been tricked out and gussied up! Although the lettering is a little faded, the graphics (pies, birds, rolling pin) are clear so I figured she still had some life left in her. I added vintage pom pom trim, a vintage aqua button and a new pot holder. She's 18" long and ready to hang out in your retro kitchen.
The last photo shows assorted Tricked Out Tea Towels, some of which are still available.
