Jarrah
“Eucalyptus marginata”

Jarrah is a unique Australian hardwood renowned for its versatility. Jarrah trees grow on the iron and aluminium rich plains of south-western corner of Western Australia, from the ranges east of Perth down to Albany. They are slow growing, their roots often reaching to great depths in search of nutrients and water. Their long, straight trunks, can grow up to 40 metres tall and 2 metres in diameter, creating beautifully coloured and grained timbers, which reflect the hues of the Western Australian landscape. The heartwood varies in colour from rich reds to browns. The texture of the timber is moderately coarse and even-textured grain, although some interlocked, wavy grain may feature, creating interesting fiddle- back figuring. Jarrah's decorative qualities make it prized for use in furniture, turnery, joinery and parquetry.

Tasmanian Myrtle
“Nothofagus Cunninghamii”
Tasmanian myrtle is a medium-sized hardwood that mainly grows in the temperate rainforest areas of Tasmania and eastern Victoria. The heartwood can be pink or a more popular warm reddish brown and may also feature traces of orange, while the sapwood is pale and narrow. Even-textured, myrtle has a fine grain that can be straight, interlocked or feature a fiddleback pattern. Growth rings may also be visible. The burls and knotty wood of myrtle beech are favoured by craftspeople.
A strong and dense timber, it is not particularly durable, and due to its generally colour-rich appearance, myrtle beech is favoured for internal applications such as decorative veneers, high-end furniture and joinery.

I’d been eyeing these boxes for a long time and so glad that I finally made the purchase before I missed out. I have not come across anything else that matches this iridescent beauty. Absolutely gorgeous! The quality is impeccable. Bonus - the box it shipped in is useful, too.

There is a saying for us: all good things come in threes. That agrees here at Tony's fantastically beautiful and absolutely masterful jewelry box to 100%. If that's enough. Once again I am very excited and very happy. By the way, he built it at my request. His solution is brilliant. Because I wanted to have five rows for my many, bought last year, rings. Instead of the essentially superfluous rows, separated with a wooden strip, he created them across the whole interior. My jaw dropped. Really awesome. Tony is just a super great master of his trade. Now all my rings have found their place. Very nice, if order prevails. Thank you very much, continue to be very successful and kind regards, Friedrich

Exactly one year ago, I bought my first jewellery box from Tony. I wrote "Should I buy one again, then only with him!" What can I say? Now the time has come. :-)

The wooden box (as a protection) with his handcrafted absolutely perfect artwork arrived super fast in Germany. Just as quickly I could pick it up at customs.

Once again I am amazed at how outstanding his handwork is. I am very excited, because now my new rings are kept dignified.

Oh yes ... The plate made of abalone shells incorporated in the lid did it to me. It shimmers so wonderfully ... and I am also fascinated by the wood.

Everything fits, sits and moves perfectly.

For sure I will come back again!

    Kind Regards, Friedrich
