I used a real 1906 advertising datebook from Wakefield's Family Medicinals and a 1949 home medical advice book to create this one-of-a-kind art bookmark. I combined fragments of the vintage ephemera with scraps of decorative paper and tea-dyed cotton gauze, cutting or tearing each piece to shape individually and applying them in artful layers over a burnt sienna background.

Everything used in this bookmark collage is an original artifact. It contains no photocopies or digital prints. When you buy one of my art pieces - whether bookmark, art card, or collage original - you'll find yourself holding objects used and (I hope) loved by a real person, fifty to a hundred years ago.

• Single bookmark (shown in first picture), measuring approximately 2.25" x 7"
• Removable vinyl sleeve adds an additional 1.5" height and .25" width
• Topped with a tassel of dark gold embroidery floss
• Signed and dated by the artist (that's me!)
• Original collage may be used as a bookmark or framed
• Great gift for medical students, doctors, nurses, or vintage lovers
• Includes a tag detailing bookmark's unique components
• Arrives packaged in a cardstock folder, wrapped in string, ready for gift-giving

(Don't like extra packaging? Just put "Simple packaging" in the seller notes and I'll dispense with the trappings)
