Kids Summer Shirt - PDF PATTERN and Instructions 18m-6

  • Digital download
  • Digital file type(s): 3 PDF

Why spend money on the same shirt year after year, when you can make your own? I have create a PDF pattern that includes sizes 18m-6. This modern twist on an old classic will certainly make other moms stop and ask you where you purchased this shirt; and you can proudly tell them that you made it yourself.

The added bonus of buying a PDF pattern is that you don't have to trace the pattern pieces each time you want to make a new shirt. All you have to do is print out the pattern and cut the size you want to make.

New file size A0 added for printing or project.

To make this shirt you will need:
• 1 yard of fabric (suggested fabrics: light to medium-weight woven fabric, i.e. quilting cotton, chambray, or linen.)
• 1/4 yard fusible interfacing
• sewing machine
• thread (matching color)
• 5 buttons (1/2" - line 20)
• scissors
• pins
• water-soluble fabric-marking pen or tailor's chalk

Optional supplies:
• pinking shears
• serger
• tracing wheel and carbon paper

Sewing curved seams, top stitching, applying fusible interfacing, buttonhole, hand-stitching.

✤This is a great project for someone who has sewn from a pattern before or has taken a sewing class or two.

Pattern pieces include 1/2" seam allowance (unless otherwise noted), hem allowances, and button hole extensions are also included.

Patterns are made to be printed on US Letter paper (8.5"x11"), so pattern pieces will need to be assembled as directed in the instructions. You will not be asked to scale to fit or crop any of the pattern pieces; All pattern pieces are at 100% scale. I've also included a "Test Square" to make sure your printer is printing the pattern pieces correctly.

The instructions are broken down into sections and give a detailed step-by-step explanation on how to construct each piece.

Love this pattern. First time doing a collar so I needed a bit of extra googling but it came together in the end. I changed the pocket to be symmetrical and added snaps 🥰

Nice detailed pattern. Next time I make I'd widen the collar a little. I also made the pocked a little larger. No problem in downloading and printing.

Great pattern. Didn’t use the pocket but it came out great, overall a pretty quick and straight forward make. Definitely had to pick and redo the collar but only once haha! Thanks to the seller, for whatever reason these shirt patterns are hard to come by and this was as simple as possible for a slightly complicated project. Another thing I liked about this shirt pattern was the collar isn’t super open giving it more of that Oxford style look. Thanks again!

Nice pattern! perfect for alterations. I made one into a western shirt, one long straight sides for a cuban style summer shirt. Directions simple and to the point. I think the collar directions could be a little clearer -but once I got it it PERFECT!
