"Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world's grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it."

The above quotation is one of many popular inspirational quotes frequently shared on the internet attributed simply to "The Talmud". This specific wording, however, does not come directly from the original Hebrew commentary; it is an interpretive translation published in 1993 by Rabbi Rami M. Shapiro on page 41 of his lovely little volume "Wisdom of the Jewish Sages: A Modern Reading of Pirke Avot" (ISBN 978-0-517-79966-6).

In this design, I've paired Rabbi Shapiro's words with the Hebrew source texts found in Pirkei Avot 2:20 and Micah 6:8.

Available in 2 different color schemes: purple (white text on a purple galaxy background), or rainbow (rainbow colored text on a white background). I am happy to work with you to prepare a different color scheme as a custom order.
