FAKE DESIGNS ALERT
Signatures 'Husár D', Taboo or BIJOUX MG are not old
Czech traditional designer names or marks, as many
sellers wrongly claim.
These pieces are not vintage, but recently made in
vintage look. Offering Husár D or Taboo as vintage
or antique is a deception.
Mr. David Husár (45) currently living in Jablonec,
Czech Republic, manufacturing and selling rhinestone
and glass jewelry.
No jewelry designer would attach his name on
an unfinished (soldered) piece!
👉Unfinished and signed = FAKE!

Don't buy antique or vintagevintage Costume Jewelry
without seeing a detailed photo of the back!"

👉Offering Aurora Borealis jewelry from the 1930s
is misleading. Aurora Borealis is an iridescent rhinestone
finish developed by Swarovski in 1955. These rhinestones
were widely used in costume jewelry in the late 1950s
and early 1960s.

A bit history of Rhinestones:
Gablonz, a city in Bohemia, Czech Republic (former Czechoslovakia)
is the cradle of costume jewelry. The first artificial jewelry was
produced in 18th century in Gablonz and was exported throughout
Europe. Already in 1820 Gablonz makers exported more than 2½ bilion
cut glass beads and rhinestones in a year worldwide. Beginning 1830's
Gablonz craftsmen began making lines of fashion jewelry thousands
tons of glass components and rhinestones were exported into the
whole world, especially to the USA.
In 1918 the Czechs and Slovaks became united, were freed from the
rule of Austria and Hungary and the land was called Czechoslovakia.
Prior to World War I, the jewelry from this area was called Bohemian
and mostly not marked. After WW I (1918) the jewelry was marked
with Czecho, Czecho-Slovakia, Czechoslovakia or Made in Czechoslovakia.
👉 All these pieces are plated on the back, NOT heavily soldered,
as some sellers wrongly claim. This is a eception of customers!
