This garment proudly bears the International Ladies Garment Worker's Union Label ensuring that once upon a time, someone was paid a living wage to make this dress for your special day.

Classic 1950s dress for the wedding cake topper bride. In the full skirt a layer of nylon chiffon with a horsehair hem floats above a layer of tulle, a layer of tulle trimmed with tulle ruffles and the crisp taffeta lining. Embellished with an accordion pleated hem in front, lace and aurora borealis sequin details throughout. Nylon train in back bustles in three points with the help of a couple of hook and eyes.
-Nude Illusion bodice
-Sweetheart neckline
-Piped Basque waistline
-Center back Murlen metal zipper
-Decorative buttons down the center back with only the top three being functional.
-Chiffon train that bustles into a flounce.
-Scalloped Chantilly Lace panels in the skirt.

The original owner's daughter Tiffany just found her Mother's wedding veil featuring a beaded faux pearl crown from which petals of fine tulle fall. She also found her creamy faux pearl beaded satin slippers. Both are now included in the listing for this dress. See photos of the slippers and more of this dress in my facebook photo album:

I do not pin clothing on models, but prefer instead to show you my garments on people they actually fit. Pearl's measurements (the first three photos) are 33-25-38 and she stands 5'8" tall. Janey (in the last two photos) measures 36-28-40 and she stands 5'6" tall.
-Bust: Up to 36"
-Waist: Up to 28"
-Hip: Free
-Length from shoulder to waist: 16"
-Length from waist to hem center front: 44"
-Length from waist to hem center back: 59.5"
-Skirt sweep: 205"
-Sleeve length: 25" Shoulder to pointed hem.
There is no room in the narrow seam allowances to make this dress any bigger. It has already been altered in the bodice to fit a larger woman than it was originally made for.

Very Good condition rating a 7 out of 10. There is a loose thread here and there. The bodice was altered as noted above. An insignificant small spot here and there. I just noticed the biggest flaw and that is some slight discoloration in the underarm area. I have not cleaned this dress and would suggest it only be slightly pressed on low heat and worn as is. Any cleaning will only make the discoloration more obvious and I've inspected this dress on many occasions and just now noticed the discoloration while measuring the bust.

This dress came to me from the original owner's daughter and was still packed in the box it went into after it was first worn, cleaned and packed away.
