I got my greedy little paws on a few chunks of maple burl... a Real Treasure for someone who lives in Northern Ontario... and I plan on using every sliver of it if I can!!! and you can witness it happening! (please don't ask me for 1000 souvenir toothpicks!)

Connie has been asking for awhile now that I keep the bark On. I have done a bit of Bark Art on the vessels, and I've decided to listen to her about wearables as well. Sometimes we share good ideas ;^) and now we both are excited about creating with the delicious burl bark bits that you will see, perhaps regularly.
And we won't say which one of us has created which pieces.hehe.

*** Thought about giving this one a more defining name. But it is a little like cloud watching, we each 'see' something different. We'd love to hear Your interpretations... you share yours, and we just might share ours!!!

Maple trees meanings include balance, promise and practicality. They are harvested of their sap to make syrup, and of their wood for furniture and all kinds of fine crafts. The dried wood is often used for the smoking of food. The trees are also cultivated as ornamental plants, and their bright autumnal colours are beneficial for the tourism trade.
