Vintage 1977 Simplicity 8249 Sewing Pattern, Maxi Dress, Short Dress Miss Size 14



This is a Simplicity dress pattern 8249 for sewing up a maxi dress or a shorter length dress. This style is right out of the late 1970's and is very wearable today. This pattern is size Miss 14.

Bust 36 inches (91.44 cm)
Waist 28 inches (71.12 cm)
Hip 38 inches (96.52 cm)
Back waist length 16 1/2 (41.91 cm)


Pattern is complete and uncut with factory folding and in very good condition. The instructions are tan with age and the envelope flap is torn off as you can see in the photo.

Returns and exchange details

I hope you will enjoy your shopping experience and the handmade or vintage item that you purchase from StelmaDesigns. If you are not happy, please contact me right away.

You may return a purchase with the exception of lingerie and NOS never worn vintage clothing ("New Old Stock"). I do not refund for issues based on the fit of a garment, as I provide many measurements to help you with this. I am always happy to provide extra measurements and help you with questions in regards to fit, as vintage clothing is often not cut like modern clothing of today. Special occasion dresses; prom, cocktail and wedding dresses are also final sale, so please measure carefully and contact me for help with any questions at all. Items must be in the exact condition as sent with no smoke, body or perfume odors and unworn. Shipping fees are non refundable.

Request to make a return must be made within 24 HOURS of receipt of your package based on the tracking delivery time and date. Your returned item needs to be in the mail on its way back to me within THREE DAYS of delivery confirmation to you, in the same condition as sent, with no new damage or missing buttons etc, no pet hairs, smoke odors, body odors or perfume and I will refund the purchase price less shipping. Shop credit will be given for returns past the time frame mentioned above. My goal is for you to be a very satisfied and hopefully repeat customer to my shop!

***Receiving a vintage garment and then discovering it fits you poorly can be avoided if you follow my suggestions and ask questions. Please understand that I take great care to give you accurate and complete measurements on my garments so that a disappointment in the fit doesn't happen. A flexible measuring tape is your friend. It is *very important* that you compare my measurements to a similar garment you own that fits well. For body measurements, you must allow one to several inches for room to move. As I mention above under "Vintage Clothing", garments from the past were not made as forgiving in fit as modern clothing today can be. Fabric content and color is also listed to the best of my ability, so please ask questions if you do not know what a fabric is like or if a color needs to be exact. Please send me any questions on measurements and fit you need help with. I am very happy to help you in this regard! Nothing is more disappointing than finding your beautiful vintage garment you just received doesn't fit you.
