Inky Tweed - Mill Dyed Textured Wool 1/4 yard

For the softer primitive look this beautiful textured (off the bolt) mill dyed 100% wool fabric for rug hooking, penny rugs, applique and many other projects. This wool color/plaid texture is a known as "inky tweed" a beautiful slate black tweed with just enough texture from the tweed to keep it from looking flat. A fabulous background.

Our wools all are pre-washed and ready to use - and any shrinkage has occurred.

Wool is very soft and smooth, very nice to work with, and cuts like butter. All dying is done right here on the farm in my studio. After the wool is dyed, it is then washed with eucalan soap and dried to give it that soft fluffy feel. Our wool comes from a smoke-free environment, but very pet friendly. Your wool is ready to use.

Wool is a natural fiber, therefore it does shrink during the dye/wash process. Finished sizes will vary due to different wools. Please feel free to email with any questions, or if you need a special color.
