This sculptural piece was part of a group made in collaboration with Sarah Parker-Eaton inspired by jellyfish.

This particular species seemed unusual because its umbrella and tenticles are split into four.

The umbrella of the piece was turned and then carved from English sycamore, then airbrushed and textured with tiny white dots of pigmented polyester resin. The mouth was turned and carved from ebony. The interior sprig and tentacles were hand fabricated from silver by Sarah.

The piece is 7 inches at the widest point between the silver tentacles.
