Girl and her horse is embroidered in slate and olive green on beautiful homespun linen that is between 80-120 years old. The porcelain doll arm is from Germany and was excavated from the grounds of an old doll factory that operated between 1890-1910. Each piece is framed in vintage mustard yellow metal embroidery hoops with spring tension that measure 7 1/4 inches in diameter. Girl and her horse is backed with wool/rayon blend felt and is signed and dated on the back. It hangs with braided floss that matches the horse's lead rope.

If you'd like to read more about the history of the linen you can check out my blog post about it here: http://marysgranddaughter.blogspot.com/2009/06/look-what-i-found.html
