Item details

handmade in Colorado USA, wheel thrown from stoneware clay, carved artistic design

Just perfect for a watercolor painter, these rinse bowls with a place for your paintbrushes to rest when not in use are a perfect gift for an artist. It is handmade pottery that is art in itself that will serve as inspiration! The bowl was made on my pottery wheel out of durable stoneware clay and measure around 3" high x 4" wide and will hold 2 cups of water (about 16 ounces).

I created a designs on the exterior of the bowl. You may choose from cups featuring:
A frog and hearts
Bees and flowers
Bunny Rabbit
Green lichen glaze

The design is sealed in with a translucent glaze that allows the beauty of the clay to show through. I also like having the inside of the cup white so that you can tell if your water is getting too murky with paint as you rinse your brush.

You can choose which cup you want by selecting from the drop down menu.

If this is a gift, I'm happy to include a card with a message from you in the package. Just leave me the wording in the notes to seller at check out.

If I feel I can make something custom for you in a style, design and glaze that I have tested and perfected, I'm happy to consider custom and personalized orders. Please know that there is generally an added charge for this and it may take six weeks or more to complete.
Because all of my pottery is made one at a time, there will be variations in size, even when you purchase a set of two or more pieces. Generally these are maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch in difference and a couple ounces in volume at times.
I use a very durable stoneware clay for my pottery, making it able to withstand continued, everyday use. Unless stated otherwise in the description, you can use my pottery in your oven, microwave and dishwasher.
It is very difficult to gift wrap your pottery since I need to make sure it has lots of bubblewrap and peanuts surrounding it so it arrives intact. However, I am very happy to tie a ribbon around the packing material and to include a hand written card with a message from you inside the box. Just leave me the wording in your Note to Seller at check out.
I do sell my work wholesale to gift shops and galleries. Please contact me for minimum order and pricing information. My phone is: 970-846-9349 and my email is

I also have a watercolor shop here on etsy and would love to be represented by a gallery for that work. You can see it at:
