Offered here is this Antique M.W. & Co. Brass and Iron Padlock. It measures 3 5/8" x 2 3/8" x 5/8" thick and needs some TLC. The brass swing cover moves to the side to expose the key hole. The lock has some light rust, but some of the old Japanned black paint finish remains intact. My research finds that this type of lock is called a "smokehouse lock or smokie" by collectors and was made by the Mallory Wheeler & Company of New Haven, Connecticut © 1865 - 1910. There is NO KEY. Great for all your creative projects.
