Is this not wonderful? A gorgeous evening gown, cummerbund, and matching lacy fingerless mittens. Superb formal fashion from 1948!

The dress has a dart-fitted bodice, scoop neckline, and optional Bertha collar with curved center notch and inverted pleats at front sides of center (front and back). The dress has full, 4-gore bias-flared skirt in your choice of tea or full length, and side zipper closing. Your choice to leave dress sleeveless or add short puff sleeves gathered to slim sleeve bands with tie extensions. Add ribbon tie belt or cummerbund. Cummerbund is shirred, reinforced with featherboning, fastened in back with hooks-and-eyes, and accented in back with fixed self-fabric bow. The lacy fingerless mitts have partial thumb, ruffled cuff, ribbon bow trim, and snap closing.

Elegant, splendid fashion!
