This listing is a made to order miniature wood Intarsia Sparrow . Made from Maple, Chakte Viga, Monkey Pod and Peruvian walnut. This item is made as an ornament but also has a magnet on the back for choice of use.

Wood grain does vary, but this is part of what makes each piece one of a kind. The colors you see in each piece are the natural colors of the different types of wood we use, unless specifically noted otherwise. Shipped pieces will be as close to the example photos as possible. Our magnets are also made in left and right facing pairs, so we will send out what is available unless noted otherwise in the order.

This item is approximately 3.5" by 1" and is is made from 11 segments of wood.

Intarsia is a mosaic art-form using multiple segments of wood that are cut and sanded individually and then put together to create an image. this gives a 3D look of a 2D object. We use different tools along with carving techniques to help create this look. The product is then finished with a backer and clear lacquer.
