This amazing table was made back in the 1940's I believe. It is mahogany and Mahogonay venear and features inlaid details on the top. The table top is in the shape of a triangle and measures 16" x 14". It is 17" tall. It was originally a sewing box and the top opens to reveal a compartment. The inside may have once had velvet inside so if you want, you can always re add some type of fabric lining. It plays the song Doctor Zhivage "Lara's Theme" It is a swiss movement and plays wonderfully. The legs are numbered as it must have been a long ago kit! I will not remove them as I do not wish to disturb it's stability. It is gorgeous! I can not describe it in words it is so lovely. A pleasure to look at! There is some damage to the venear as shown but the piece is solid and ready to use. It would be a lovely tea table or small sewing table. I believe they were common as you can listean to the music while sewing or stiching! What a treat from way back when!
