Vanilla Coffee Vegan Lip Balm is pretty special especially if you like coffee. Real coffee butter is used to make this balm deliciously aromatic with coffee; vanilla taste enhanced flavor oil is added for that vanilla coffee scent and taste. It's not like French Vanilla International Coffee, it's better!!

Ingredients: coffee butter (coffee oil in hydrogenated vegetable oil), herbal oil (calendula in macadamia nut oil), coconut oil, sunflower oil, t-50 tocopherols, vanilla tasted enhanced flavor oil

Packaged in a .15 oz. oval tube with full disclosure label.

Why These Ingredients:

Aloe Butter is an extraction of Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) using a coconut fraction to produce a soft-solid which melts immediately on contact with the skin. This soft, off-white, semi-solid body butter is suited for a variety of skin care applications such as lotions, soaps, skin creams and lip balms to enhance moisturization with the legendary properties of Aloe. It doesn’t contain preservatives or coloring agents.

Aloe vera is a well known healing and soothing agent for damaged, dry skin. It is soothing and healing for burns, skin irritations, and raw open wounds. A soothing and healing sap, it penetrates the skin deeply providing valuable nutrients and promotes cell repair. It is famous for its moisturizing and soothing properties, as well as for its ability to aid in healing.

Calendula The petals have been found to be anti-inflammatory. Carotenoids provide the distinct yellow to orange of the petals (beta-carotene, lycopene, violaxanthin and lutein). The infused oil is highly recommended for dry, mature skin as well as for skin sores, diaper rash and sunburn. The infused oil may be applied directly on the skin or may be added to handcrafted soaps and toiletries.

Candelilla wax is not only vegan friendly and petroleum free but all-natural and eco-friendly as well. Candelilla wax is the exudates found on the leaves of a small scrub native to Mexico and the southwest.

Coconut oil is lubricating, edible, and moisturizing; it is penetrating, healing, and as a sunscreen, it is said it provides 20% protection from UV rays; WATCH nut oil allergies. It is an emollient.

Coffee Butter Coffee Bean Butter is produced by hydrogenating the cold pressed oil from roasted coffee beans with other vegetable oils. The light hydrogenation process creates a butter with good oxidative stability and a smooth, silky feel. The high content of unsaponifiable matter in Coffee Oil has made it popular in cosmetics too. The oil offers natural protection from ultraviolet light and is becoming a popular ingredient in sunscreen products. Coffee Oil is rich in phytosterols which promote excellent moisture retention, quick penetration and good adherence in cosmetics. Coffee Butter is a semi-soft, light brown colored butter with a strong aroma of coffee and is similar in properties to the coffee oil. It does not have caffeine in it as caffeine is a water soluble component of the bean but the aroma is of pure coffee!

Flavor oils are richly aromatic but do not have a taste. A very deceiving name, but flavor oils are used in lip products and so they are called lip balm “flavors”. We can taste all natural (sometimes called essential) oils, but we cannot taste these oils; the exceptions are “flavor enhanced” flavor oils. I use one called Vanilla. Some flavor oils are all natural and some are not. Unlike fragrance oils, these are approved for use on the lips and are usually weaker scented than fragrance oils. The best are those that smell exactly as they are named!

Macadamia Nut oil contains benefits of vitamin A, (iron), vitamins B1 - (thiamine), B2 - (riboflavin), B3 - (niacin), B6 (pyridoxamine) and benefits of vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant which protects cells from damaging free radicals. It is moisturizing, toning and soothing for dry skin, young skin, mature skin, oily skin, acne and sunburns. It penetrates into the skin so quickly; it’s often called “vanishing oil”. Having the benefits of vitamin E, it supports proper cell function and cell regeneration, helping to heal small wounds and skin irritations, fade scars, stretch marks, reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It’s often found in face care, baby care and lip care products.

Sunflower oil is an emollient and lubricant with large amounts of vitamin e; moisturizing, antioxidant, penetrating, nourishing; WATCH as may be a sensitive skin irritant.

T-50 Tocopherols is a natural form of Vitamin E’s, whose most important task is to counteract oxidation (rancidity) in fats and oils, as well as prevent the occurrence of free radicals. The tocopherols operate and are active both in the product and on the person’s skin. Tocopherols protect against the side effects of radiotherapy and cytotoxins. Cells deficient in vitamin E and selenium are much more prone to oxidation and the formation of free radicals. Free radicals are formed during exposure to sunlight, during the breaking down of environmental pollutants and during the oxidation of oils when exposed to heat or sunlight. Vitamin E applied to the skin will penetrate it and take care of the free radicals. The vitamin will absorb the sun’s dangerous ultra-violet rays, which are responsible for the reddening of the skin, sunburn and more serious burns. Ultra-violet rays and the free radicals age the skin more quickly reducing its elasticity and creating wrinkles. Vitamin E therefore works to prevent wrinkles, stimulates the blood circulation and regulates the skin’s elasticity.
