This hand carved cream bone or vegetable ivory butterfly dates to the first half of 20century.Art Deco period. This is not an elephant ivory piece and it has characteristics of bone. It has yellowed a little with age and could possibly be vegetable ivory.I am offering it for repurpose as a jewelry supply item.

I acquired it as a brooch, with a badly glued on rusty pin with a "c" clasp; which was lifting up from the bone. I think it now has more scope as a new piece of jewelry such as a pendant. It is in very good condition. It measures 2-5/8ins across the wing tips(6.7cm) and is 1-1/4ins deep(2.8cm)

It comes from a non-smoking, pet free environment.
Shipping is quoted for UK second class and ordinary non-tracked airmail. Two more small items under $15 each can be accomodated in this shipping price and shipped free with this item.
