Handmade Ceramic Green Yarn Bowl with Bird
If you knit or crochet and you like birds, this yarn bowl is for you. It is made of buff stoneware clay and is wheel thrown and trimmed by hand in my own studio. The bird perching on a tree branch, is cut out by hand. Then I smooth all the edges, to ensure the yarn does not drag on the surface. The glaze is a mossy green with blues and browns that flow over the rim. It is fired to cone 6 (2290 Deg F) in an oxidation environment, for durability.

It measures 6 inches across at the top and 2.5 inches high and holds an average skein of yarn. The picture shows the bowl with a full 3.52 ounce (100 gram) skein of 4 ply yarn. It will make a lovely addition to your everyday life.
