This listing is for a pair of fine white china "tea duo" sets. Each duo consists of a luncheon, sandwich, salad, dessert or snack (depending on how you chose to use it) plate and a matching footed tea cup that is designed to fit into a custom sized indentation on the plate. Both the plate and the cup are accented and trimmed in rich gold banding and liberally scattered small gold fleur de lis symbols. The bottoms of the plates are marked with script words that say Fleur De Lis with the number 3512. I believe these are from the 1950s mid century era, and very possibly made in Japan.

The plates are approx. 8" wide and the cups are approx. 2 3/4" tall x 3 1/2" wide at the top. All pieces are in mint condition with little evidence at all of prior use.

I can imagine these as just the thing for your morning tea and toast, or blended in as elegant and compatible accents with a full service of dishes for a luncheon, tea party, dessert party, cocktail party, or even a full dinner party. If fleur de lis symbols have a special place in your home for personal reasons or because you live in a place like Louisville, KY where the French influences on its founding have made the fleur de lis a beloved symbol of the city, then you will want to make a place for these simple yet elegant beauties on display or at your next party.
