This listing is for a set of three historic games that are contained within one draw string bag. The three games include Tic-Tac-Toe, Shut the Box, and Four and Ten.

The following items are included in the kit:

* One cotton bag with Tic-Tac-Toe lines and the numbered Shut the Box grid hand drawn on the bag. The bag features a draw-string top. The approximate dimensions of the bag are 4.5 inches wide by 6.5 inches long.
* 9 dark and 9 light colored, glass playing pieces.
* 2 wooden dice
* Instructions for each of the games.

These games are made by our child for your child. The idea for this item came entirely from our elementary school aged daughter. She enjoys playing these games at living history events, Civil War re-enactments, and just every day around the house. She worked with her mom to create the bag and find the playing pieces, but she is the sole creator of the idea and she makes the bags herself on the treadle sewing machines and assembles the kits. The proceeds from the sale will be hers to keep.

These kits are a wonderful accessory for any child at a Civil War, Colonial, World War II, or any other event where modern electronic games should not be played. The bag is large enough to also hold marbles, jacks, small balls, a deck of cards, or a number of other period game pieces that your child would wish to include. Of course, it can also be used by a child or an adult to discretely carry modern personal effects.

When developing this kit, we tried to pick out historically correct game components. The bag is made of cotton fabric. The game pieces are polished glass, and the dice are wooden. We wanted to offer a historically accurate kit that can be enjoyed by children when they are looking for some entertainment at long events. The games can also be played anywhere, including in the vehicle when traveling. They are low noise, battery free, and non-toxic.

Please note: Choking Hazard. Due to the small size of the playing pieces, this kit is not recommended for children under the age of six.

Also note that the bags are handmade by our daughter. They are a great way for her to develop her sewing skills. With that stated, please remember this when you receive your kit and are leaving feedback. The construction of the bags will improve with her experience level.

The game will be shipped in a padded envelope via First Class Mail. A $0.40 handling fee is required for delivery confirmation fees plus package and label expense.

* The bag and game piece colors will vary from kit to kit. Please allow our daughter to choose one for you.

* The third picture shows the game in action, complete with a Treadle Treasures handmade dress.

* The fourth picture shows our daughter sewing the bags on our 1889 Singer Treadle. She likes this machine because it is the prettiest one out of our collection.
