For sale is "Practical Arithmetic, Uniting the Inductive With the Synthetic Mode of Instruction" by James B. Thomson, published by Mark H. Newman & Co., New York, 68th Edition, 1851. This book predates the Civil War and looks like it went through the war. The cover is separated from the book, there is considerable writing inside the front and back cover (one of the early owners of the book, James B. Matteon, wrote his name several times inside the front cover along with the date 1861), and there are torn pages.

See the photos to get an idea of the condition. I hate to handle it as it is so fragile and I will not accept returns on this item. Will be shipped via USPS Media Mail. And please feel free to ask questions. Thank you.
