An antique charcoal/box sad iron with wooden handle from the early 1900s. There is a knob that keeps the top half attached to the bottom half. I believe the inside compartment was used to contain either glowing coals or a slug. An awesome kitchen display, doorstop, paperweight, etc! The wooden handle has a very nice smooth patina and the iron has begun to rust.

6-1/2" tall, 7-1/2" long, 4" wide
