Hendrik Von Loon - what a wonderful name! This vintage Parker Brothers game from the 1930's has a great world map game board, and the object of the game was to be the first player to complete the trip around the world from San Francisco to Manila, by steamer and airplane. The game featured metal airplanes and steamships which served as the playing pieces that were moved between the two cities. These pieces are missing, but the game board, and the box cover, have wonderful graphics that make this really cool for display. Fun gift for your favorite world traveler, or a unique addition to your board game collection.

The box is 20” by 14” by 1 1/2” tall and in fairly poor condition with broken corners and such. The game board is 26 1/2” by 16 3/4” when open, and is in nice condition. No game pieces, cards or instructions are included, however, it looks like the playing pieces can still be found on eBay if you'd like to complete your game.

Hendrik Willem van Loon (1882 –1944) was a Dutch-American historian, journalist, and award-winning children's book author, known for his 'Story of Mankind', which won the very first Newberry Medal in 1922.
