Description

Whenever the dashing and preternaturally handsome Capt. Lucien Octavio (see “Adventures of Capt. Octavio”: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=11875489) was forced to embark on one of his many sea expeditions unaccompanied by the talented and lovely Mrs. Lucinda Octavio (see “Lucinda Octavio, Deep Sea Milliner”: http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=16545743) , he was sure to bring her back a memento of his adventure so that she might rest assured that he was thinking of her. Presented here is one such souvenir from Capt. Octavio’s intrepid journey to the Belize Barrier Reef.
This beguiling little memento measures just 4" x 6" x 1 1/2" and is constructed upon hand stained hardwood which has been left unvarnished for a more rustic patina. Nestled in the 4 1/4” x 2 1/4” nicho against a background of a vintage coral print is a real coral specimen accompanied by a small conch set in its own tiny handmade display stand, a few seashells and a real dried starfish twinkling above. A square brass plate frames the specimen tag which reads “Coraux No. 4”. Backed with beautifully printed paper, signed and fitted with hanging hardware. Perfect to hang in your study, powder room or pool cabana, it will also stand up on its own in your Wunderkammer (Curiosity Cabinet) or curio cabinet. Let Capt. Octavio’s maritime valentine bring a sea breeze into your home or the home of someone you love.
Insurance included in shipping price.

I absolutely adore Ramona's artwork. I have several of her original pieces that have brought me so much joy. The beautiful Mushroom Sprite is my favorite thus far. I especially love that the stories behind each piece, adding even more life to what is already imbued with energy. Don't hesitate to add one of these to your collection.
