This yarn bowl is wheel thrown in a speckled brown stoneware clay and glazed in a matte turquoise glaze. This is my favorite glaze for my embellished pots because any combination of fiber and beads looks good against it. Just about any yarn you put in this bowl will pop against this turquoise! This glaze also has a lovely matte finish, not glossy, and it does this marvelous, rustic thing when you wipe it down to the clay. You will notice several areas where I have done this to play up the weathered look which looks great with the color and texture of the surface.

This bowl is 6 1/4 inches wide and 3 5/8 inches tall. The design is my favorite spiral (a lot of favorites in this piece!) and also has two holes for threading your yarn through, giving you the option of removing the yarn before project completion or not. It really only needs one hole, but I like symmetry in my designs.

Fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln.

Each one of my yarn bowls is a little different. Some are taller, some are wider and each spiral design is drawn and carved by hand, making each bowl unique.

The shipping charges for this bowl are for USPS priority shipping within the U.S. and for First Class International for Canada. Please convo before purchasing if you want Priority International for Canadian shipping and for countries other than U.S. and Canada so that those charges can be incorporated into the listing. Thank you!
