This sizable bracelet is only marked Silver Mexico and it has no eagle mark, which means it was probably made before 1948. It has 5 separate panels joined by hinges, two of which are set with carved "warrior" faces and three that are set with large rectangles traversed by bands of silver wire. All of five of the stones are obsidian, and each is surrounded by decoration made of silver balls and wire. There are a couple of minor scratches in the stone and on the back of the bracelet, but these are to be expected in a piece of this age, so I would rate it to be in very good vintage condition.

This bracelet is a large one, since it measures almost 8 inches long when clasped, and is a bit over 1 5/8 inches wide. It weighs 90 grams, so you will know that you have it on, but its hinges make it flexible and it feels comfortable when worn. This is definitely a piece that makes a statement while being a part of the history of Mexican silver jewelry in the 1900's. If you like your jewelry big, ethnic, and exotic, this may be the bracelet for you!
